Argentina, at tourists? Top Ten
The pride of the Argentineans for the beauty and diversity of the national landscapes will not be questioned anymore. An international research revealed that the country ranks among the top ten world chosen destinations for its food, its nightlife and to travel.
This was stated by the Country Brand Index 2009, held by the international consultant
FutureBrand, which analyzed the most powerful destinations worldwide. According to the information obtained from this research, Argentina is placed among the top ten in the categories of gastronomy, nightlife and the best place to know and visit.
The Argentinean meat, the wine, the “dulce de leche” and the national food are the preferred features for tourists. That is the reason why the gastronomy of the country is placed at the fourth place worldwide. More than 3,000 travelers and experts in tourism that were involved in this research agreed that France is the best place to eat because it has the greatest offer and culinary experience, followed by Italy and Japan. This makes Argentina the only country in South America to achieve a position among the top five, ranking 4th, while Singapore ranked 5th followed by South Korea, India, Canada, Germany and Portugal.
The diverse landscapes offered by the destination that allows individuals to travel from the Iguazu Falls at Misiones, going through the North Salt Pan, the beaches and mountains, to the Perito Moreno Glacier, at the south of the country, placed the country, according to this research, at the seventh position as the best place to travel. Not only for the beauty of its landscapes, but what is also measured is the how easy it is to travel through the country. Specialists in this matter chose Germany as the best place, followed by Ireland, Canada and Singapore. France is ranked 7th, only one position above Argentina.
Another star of Buenos Aires and one of the most wanted attractions for young people which decide to visit the country is its nightlife.
Most of them visit Argentina not only to visit and travel but also for study purposes. An investigation done by the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) showed that the number of foreign students has increased more than 45% compared to 2007. Most of them were attracted to the country by its academic level, free education and the social and cultural experience.
The country is ranked 10th among the best worldwide destinations to enjoy nightlife. Tourists emphasize nightclubs, bars, and night activities. This category is headed by Japan, followed by the United States, Canada and Mexico, among others.
