The third most beautiful landscape
The Iguazú Falls ranked today in third place of the International Contest that searches for the New 7 Wonders of the World, replacing Galapagos Islands, in Ecuador.
The Iguazú Falls ranked in the fourth position for six consecutive days at the New 7 Wonders Contest. This makes this place the most voted tourist destination in the American continent.
The sub-secretary of Tourism of Misiones, Sergio Ferreira, said that “this is a clear sign that the promotion campaign that we are holding is giving us good results.”
Ferreira also said that “the awareness campaign that we are holding with Brazil, which in this case translates into votes, has also been very influential.”
According to the regulations of the New 7 Wonders Foundation, presided by Swiss Bernard Weber, there is time until December 31st to place the Iguazú Falls among the 21st finalists.
