Hi! My name is Daniela and I am a member of the BA Plus Argentina staff. Today I am going to show you the ways in which we say hello and goodbye in Argentina.

The most common ways of saying “hi” are: “Hola ¿qué tal?” or “Hola ¿cómo estás?”
So what do you say back? You say: “bien”, “muy bien” o “más o menos” if you are not doing so well.

Now, pay attention to the following expressions: from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m. you say “Buenos días”, from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. you say “Buenas tardes” and from 8 p.m. onwards you say “Buenas noches”.

Finally, the most common expressions for saying goodbye are: “chau”, “adiós”, “hasta luego”, “hasta mañana”.

See you on our next class! ¡Hasta luego!
